im glad we organized the outline. As lauren said, i have emailed everyone the outline for the powerpoint as well as helpful sources that reveal a lot of information on the rovers and the mission. the video is definitely awesome and we should certainly include it. we can figure out the details when we meet tomorrow at 10. Hey group!!

It was great to meet and get organized this afternoon in the library. I think we have some really good sources (NASA website, the Athena-Cornell site and Scientific American) to work from. I know Abhi said he would email everyone the outline he made, and whenever you get your portion of the power point done please email me and I'll put it all together. I'm really excited to show the video from the NASA site-- I think it'll be a great visual to understand the rovers and how they get to Mars! Don't forget our meeting this sunday night at 10 in the libs.

I just wanted to let you know that I found all my research last weekend, including several Scientific American articles and 3 books that seem like they'll be really helpful investigating the rovers on Mars and their search for remnants of life. i think the ideas lauren posted are really interesting. Another idea i thought about was Armstrong and his moon voyages. I would also really like for us to get a head start on this project. I thought maybe we could meet sometime this weekend or early next week to finalize project ideas. Maybe all of us can come up with a possible topic and we can decide as a group in our meeting. After the topic, the research can be conducted individually and we can just meet couple times a week to discuss issues. please let me know what works for everyone. Have a great evening!

New Project!

Hey Group!

I was looking online for a head start on our new project, and found some interesting ideas at the NASA website. I was really interested in the new Mars' probes, "Spirit" and "Opportunity" that are twin satellite probes, sending pictures and data back to NASA. They have been on the planet for 3 years and found really interesting things, like possible water and sulfur remnants. Let me know what you all think!!

Powerpoint

I finished up my portion of the powerpoint presentation. It is on the theories and ideas of the universe before copernicus, mostly focusing on Aristotle and Ptolemy. I am assuming we are still meeting at 12:30 in the library. See you guys there

the presentation is coming up so i was wondering if we shud meet tomorrow to finish up what we we were working on. I have a poli sci exam this wednesday which is likely to take all day tuesday as well as all night and so i wanted to get our presentation done by Monday. Will that work for you guys? I found a video in the library that we can use for our presentation. I shall bring it to our meeting. Does everyone want to do a traditional powerpoint? I think we should meet up tomorrow or day after to discuss what to include in our presentation and formulate what exactly we should do. After this is done, we can just put together what need and do the rest on our own i.e. the paper. I've collected research on Copernicus and have gone through the important stuffs as well so I'll definitely bring it to the meeting. See ya guys in class tomorrow.

I found some good books at the library as well and have been doing research online about Copernicus. I am in the process of compiling all of the materials in a cohesive manner and will bring what I have in our next meeting. Hi group! I spent about 30 minutes looking up books at Denison's library and ordered a few from Consort on Copernicus. I found a great book written by Stephen Hawking, and some good reference books that I'll be looking at this weekend.
